There has been a great development in anesthesia techniques, which has facilitated cosmetic operations, so there has been a demand from doctors and medical centers to develop cosmetic operations, especially after the advent of laser, which made a great revolution in the world of cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic operations became carried out within a few hours or a day at the most, which made it easier Many people have the idea to do it.
According to the statistics of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranks first in the Arab world in plastic surgery, where 950,000 cosmetic operations were performed in 2016 with revenues of more than 5 billion in the same year. And all to increase the proportion of beauty.
There is a group that resorts to these operations for absurd reasons because of their volatile mood and resemblance to artists, and often this category is in luxury circles. After reviewing that introduction, we wanted to draw attention to some of the procedures that must be recognized.
Including what was stipulated in Article 18 of the Medical Profession Law that the health practitioner must be obligated to alert the patient or his family, specify instructions for them after the operation, and warn of the danger of the results because they are not observed after explaining the therapeutic and surgical situation, and he must explain to them the possible side complications, He must also, according to Article 19 of the system, be obligated to obtain the consent of the patient to perform the operation or the consent of his guardian.
But if the patient is harmed, he has the right to file a case against the doctor in accordance with Article 27 of the aforementioned system, after the harm has been proven before the legitimate health authority and that it was the result of the doctor’s mistake or his failure to abide by the instructions.
